Compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations is imperative and a central performance factor for managers and their teams in their pursuit of an effective SHEQ management system. Staying up-to-date with the Mine Health and Safety Act (1996) is of paramount importance, as it is crucial for comprehending the legal obligations that pertain to mining operations. This knowledge can be the dividing line between adhering to safety standards and being accused of negligence.
To address these concerns, we have designed an interactive 3-day course specifically tailored to educate Managers and Supervisors on the legal foundations, pivotal sections, and any recent amendments (in the past three years) to the Mine Health and Safety Act and its accompanying Regulations. Moreover, this course will also cover other pertinent OHS requirements that are relevant to the mining industry.
This course is presented at an in-depth level, fast paced and designed to fulfill the requirements of Managers, Supervisors and other persons in the company who have a legal appointment in terms of Regulations 2.6.1,2.9.2,2.17.1, and 6.9(a).
